Amira Balkis studied different styles of dance such as ballet, Latin, folkloric Greek dances, Indian & ancient Greek dance but it was oriental that finally won her heart.

Her education includes classes & workshops with distinguished teachers from all over the world such as Dianna Rhea, Asia Guemra, Nesrin Top Kapi, Suha Azar, Serkan, Morocco, Amir Tahleb, Angelica Nemeth and Suhaila Salimpour, Nour, Reda, Khaled Mahmoud, Tito. 

I.D.T.A. awarded her with Bronze, Silver and Gold medals with Honors. She is a member of the Greek Labor Organization of Belly Dancers
& CID Unesco.


She is the artistic director of troupe Loulouda, formed in 2009 under the auspice of the municipality of Kifissia.

She performs in festivals, cultural events, night clubs, restaurants, hotels & resorts and has been featured in several publications and on TV. In 2008 she took part in the show “Egypt: Ancient to Modern” from Horus Productions.

Her love of dance has given her the opportunity to travel around Greece as well as abroad and to cooperate with famous and talented oriental dancers.

She has been a member of several dance groups such as «Passion d’ oriental», «Α-RΟΜ-Α»,  «Leyla t’ hoB» and the Canadian Oriental Dance Group «Tsigganes». 

Amira Balkis is a popular performer for public & private events. 
The show is appropriate for all audiences. 
Her performances are entertaining, professional, family oriented and friendly.

She dances in authentic costumes, Middle Eastern music and props such as finger cymbals, veils, swords, wings etc. 

Her style is known as the New Oriental Greek style which is a creative mixture of different oriental cultures combined with the unique nature and character of the Greek Mediterranean soul.

Amira is available for birthday parties, weddings (no bachelor parties please), baby christenings, grand openings, corporate events, restaurants, night clubs, Hotels, fundraisers, cultural festivals and other events. 

Private dance lessons are also available before or after the show. 
The length of the show is generally between 20 and 30 min.
